A Hero's Departure?

According to E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos, there are rumors flying around that a certain actor or actress from the hit show, Heroes wants off the show!! Word is also flying around that a big death scene may be planned by season's end.

No confirmation on who this actor or actress is, but Kristin does give us a few hints:

  • It's a series regular who's been on since season one.
  • Some of you fans would freak if this actor were to leave.
  • This particular Hero-ic soul has more name recognition than others in the cast.
  • According to Peacock-net insiders, NBC is not likely to release this actor. (See number three.)
  • If this actor does return for season four, there's an easy way to bring him or her back from the planned "death."

Now from the top of my head, if I had to guess who the possible candidates were, I'd say it was either Peter (Milo Ventmiglia), Sylar (Zachary Quinto), or Claire (Hayden Panetierre). Now I wouldn't really mind if Sylar were to go since I'm sure that the show's writers could easily create an even bigger villain!! I honestly don't think the show could succeed without Peter or Claire. Their characters are just too crucial, and too much of a fan favorite.

Episode 16: "Building 26"

This was yet another slow episode for me. I actually had high hopes for this one since last week's episode was actually pretty good. I think the writers need to be making their stories tighter, and removing all the nonsense talking. I like the theme for this half, but for a theme like, "Fugitives" we should be seeing more action sequences, and more chase scenes, kinda like Prison Break. If the show wants to survive, have the writers write better.

Episode 25: "An Invisible Thread"

This episode was definitely not season finale material if you ask me. Heroes has definitely struggled this season in the creativity department, and I firmly believe that this is why their ratings have continuously fallen. I certainly hope that the Tim Kring and his team of writers can find a way to overcome this slump and come back strong next season.

Episode 15: "Trust And Blood"

I feel like this episode was definitely an improvement from last week's. The stories were more action packed, and a lot tighter. I said last week that things started off a little slow, well in this episode, things seemed to move at a very ideal pace. And I totally think that the whole "fugitive" theme for this half is very cool!! I do however, feel like that the writers aren't making good enough stories for Peter. Peter is my favorite character, and I have noticed that in almost every season, the writers tend to reset Peter to square 1. In season 2, he had amnesia, in "Villains", he was locked up in level 5 briefly, then had his powers removed by his father. It's hard to explain my point without spoiling anything, so I suggest you guys watch the episode so you'll understand what I'm trying to say!

Episode 14: "A Clear And Present Danger"

This episode was just alright for me. I was expecting better from Heroes.I thought that this episode was able to succeed at mapping out the events to come in volume 4, but it did feel like the pace has slowed down. Whether or not it's a good thing, I don't know. I do however like the direction that they're taking the show towards. I know it feels a little too similar to X-Men, but hey, it sure makes for some good TV!! Hahahaha!

Epiosode 19: "Shades Of Gray"

I really enjoyed this episode. I'm not exactly sure what about the episode I really enjoyed, but this one definitely felt different from the previous epsiodes. But if I had to say one thing I enjoyed most the epsidoe, it would have to be tyhe introduction of sylar's father. The role was played by formoer Smallville cast member, John Glover. The reason I say that this is my favorite part is because it totally shed some light for the audience on Sylar's history. John Glover played the role perfectly, I don't think it couldv'e been done any better. I think the role of the father of the villain should always be given to Glover! Hahahahah! Anyways, this is a must-see ep, so download now!!

Star Trek Beams Up $7 Million On Opening Night!!

J.J Abrams's adaptation of Star Trek has opened to big numbers on its opening night. According to our sources, the film took in about $7 million beating out last year's Iron Man at $4 million, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine's $5 million. Many have been skeptical about this film saying that they wold be lucky if they passed $100 million after this weekend. Iron Man brought in about $102.1 million after its weekend, so it looks like Star Trek is off to a good start.

I just wanna say that I have never really been a Star Trek fan, and have always considered the franchise to be boring, but this film has definitely won me over! J.J Abrams in my opinion is really a man of vision, and is probably one of the hottest writers/producers/directors of Hollywood today. What he did with this film is simply amazing. The casting was spot on, the plot of the film was great, and the whole look of the film was just mind-blowing. My favorites have got to be Chris Pine as Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock. These guys definitely delivered on their iconic roles. Abrams and his team have definitely delivered a true Star Trek film that'll not only satisfy the "Trekkies", but at the same time, appeal to those who weren't fans of the franchise. I gotta admit, when I saw the trailer for this I was like, "damn, I think I wanna go see this." And even today, I still have a hangover from the film. Many reviewers have even said that Star Trek has got to be the "best prequel ever!" I think Abrams has successfully repositioned the franchise with fans roaring for a sequel already. Star Trek is definitely a contender for this year's hottest summer film in my opinion.

Star Trek: Will You watch It?

Listen up Trekkies!! Get ready to be beamed up yet again as director J.J Abrams and Paramount Pictures gears up to reboot the iconic Star Trek saga! This film will bring back all the original characters of the franchise with Chris Pine (Just My Luck) as James T. Kirk, and Zachary Quinto (Heroes) as Spock. The film will be written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman of Transformers. The movie is set to be released next summer on May 2009.

The Plot:

Little has been said about the plot of the movie except that it will definitely be a new vision of the saga, but will contain elements of their favorite novels. The movie will feature a younger, and bolder crew who boldly go where no man has gone before.

Star Trek Trailer:

Bottom Line:

I have never been a trekkie, I've tried to watch the show and movies, but never got into it I gues. I was more of a Star wars kinda guy. But what interests me with this film is definitely J.J Abrams (Mission Impossible 3). This guys definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to his projects. I'm definitely curious to see how his take on this iconic franchise will play out.
