Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Footwear!

Highsnobiety.com recently produced a viral video for the upcoming Louis Vuiton x Kanye West sneakers, which hit stores in June 2009.

I don't really know if I would wear the sneakers, but I love the video! It's both classy and trendy! Only Kanye and LV could pull such a vid off.

Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Sneakers

It seems like Kanye West a.k.a. Martin Louis The King, Jr has been really busy working with fashion titan, Louis Vuitton to release their first set of sneakers sometime this Fall 2009, or January 2010.

I think we can all agree that Kanye has definitely taken his love for LV to the next level.

Today we give you guys a brief preview of the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Low-Top Sneakers. They are featured in a couple of colorways; all black, red, and white.

See the pictures below:

I think these sneakers look great! I'm sure not all of you agree with me as I was also hesitant when I first saw them. If I had to choose one of the three, I would have to go with the white. I thjink it looks clean, classy, and trendy at the same time! I think that such a collaboration like Mr. West and LV is awesome! I've got high hopes and expectations from these guys, I just hope I'm not disappointed.

What do you think? Do these tickle your fancy? Comment!

Sneaker Freakers!!

Helloooooooooooooo Readers!!!

So I thought I'd talk a little more about my Japan trip tonight! So here goes......

When we think of the Japanese, we immediately think of two things. 1. Tech. The Japs love their tech. 2. Sneakers. The Japanese folks are the definition of Sneaker Freakers in its purest form. During my trip there, I visited a couple of sneaker shops, and man were these stores off the chain!! They carried products that are highly limited, sneakers I thought I'd never cross paths with. Sneakers like the Nike SB Heinekken Editions, The Venoms, The Lobsters, The Ninja Turtles, and many many more! They also carried The Supreme and Undefeated editions of Vans. I could go on and on about these sneakers, but I won't. I was able to take some spy shots of a few of the sneakers, so let's just let the pictures do the talking!

Here are some spy shots:

Highly Limited Nike SB's

Nike SB's Venom Edition

Vans x Supreme Collaboration

Vans x Undefeated Collaboration

And you guys know I couldn't leave without picking up a few pairs....

During my trip there, I learned that not only do the Japanese know the way of the samurai, but damn do these guys got swag! Sneakers played a crucial role in their fits. Throw on a clean top, add a pair of straight legs, then finish it off with some killer sneakers!! Yup, the Japanese have definitely taught me a thing or two!!

Air Jordan 11 & 12 Countdown Pack

This next post is definitely a treat for me!! I have never been a huge fan of the Air Jordan collection, BUT, I do have a special place in my heart for those damn Jordan XI's!! I have been waiting for these to be re-released ever since they started re-releasing the Jordans again!

The Air Jordan XI and XII Pack is scheduled to be released on December 20th! It was originally scheduled to be released on the 26th, but was moved later on.

In my opinion, this pack is the pack to wait for!! The Jordan XI's to me, has got to be the best Jordans ever released! It's release marked a definitive moment in the Air Jordan collection. And that's not all. These are being released in the original Chicago Bulls colorway. This pack has been heavily anticipated for since it was announced that they were re-releasing the Jordan XI's. This pack also includes the Jordan XII's in its original colorway of white, black, and taxi. I guess they really saved the best for last.......

Dr. Martens Manton Desert Boot

I still remember the good ol' days when I'd throw on my Dr. Martens to head off for school!!! But nowadays, it seems like Dr. Martens have lost their popularity with kids now choosing to buy other brands like Kenneth Cole.

I have always been a fan of Dr. Martens, and I think this next post might just prove to you guys that you can't replace a classic.

Dr. Martens has been around for about 60 years now. They have been staple footwear for rockers, and those who feel like bringing out their inner-rebels!!

Today I give you guys their Manton Desert Boot in a white and black colorway. These are by far the slickest pair of Dr. Marten;s I have ever laid eyes on. It's got soft black leather with black stitching with a white sole, and mid-sole stitches and laces. The contrast on these kicks can only be described in one word: PERFECTION.

These can be bought at Caliroots! So stop by and cop em' if you're interested!!

Puma x Sergio Rossi

FOR THE LADIES!!!!

Puma recently collaborated with Sergio Rossi to produce their own take on the popular and iconic Puma Clyde. The result, they give these sneakers a satin finish that comes in 3 colors, and also in leather.

Sources say that these should be available by January, exlcusive to Colette.

Here are some pics:

But these aren't the highlights of their design. For me, the coolest thing that they've done to the Clyde's is to give it heels!! These shoes are perfect for those girls who wanna try to wear sneakers with their fits, but don't really know if they'll be able to pull it off. Or for those who just wanna try something new! I honestly think these are cool as hell!

Hermés Metallic Hightops

"This Is So Going In My Blog,"

High-end fashion designers who venture into the sneaker industry usually keep their designs simple and sleek to maintain elgance with their product. These sneakers usually have less access to the cutting-edge technology that larger athletics brands have.

Well fellaz, French brand Hermés is no different from these designers. They've chosen to keep it simple and elegant with these silver metallic hightops. These have a shiny silver upper with tonal stitching atop a white sole. The tan lining gives the shoe a hint of color, as well as a little contrast. Hermés uses rare materials for this like crocodile and snakeskin to justify its nearly $1, 000.00 price tag. These are available at all Hermés locations including The Galleria in Hong Kong.

Vans & Mike Giant Collaboration

Remember my post on San Francisco based artist Mike Giant? Well it looks like he's been busy working on some collaborations with one of the biggest skateboard companies, Vans. The collection or the "Mike Giant Pack" as they call it mirrors his artworks and is a representation of himself and the influences he has in his life. Another dope shoe collection that VANTAGE recommends. More pictures on Hypbeast.com

Vans Authentic Suede

Vans has done everything under the sun with their classic authentic collections. I have seen them do corduroy, leather, canvas, and a mix of all these materials that has lead to creations of numerous pairs that I'm sure even I can't keep count of. This time, the company keeps it plain and simple, using suede as the main element. The model reminds me of the classic converse Chuck Taylors, it is something that you can wear with anything and everything. Of course nothing can beat the perennial aura of the Chucks, but I would say these vans authentics are right up there with them.

**Suede can be a real bother to clean, here are some tips VANTAGE would want leave you with regarding suede shoes:

1.Brush out dirt. Make sure your shoes are dry, and use a suede cleaning brush to gently brush away dust or dirt. Brush in the same direction (don't go back and forth) to lift dirt out and make your shoes appear newer.

2. Remove scuff marks. Use the suede brush to vigorously brush scuffed areas back and forth.

3. Remove water stains. Water can discolor affected suede. To solve this problem, wet the entire outside of the shoe by applying a light coat of water with a nail brush. Use a sponge or dry cloth to soak up excess water, and then let the shoes dry at least overnight. Be sure to insert a shoe tree into the shoe while it dries so that the shoe doesn't shrink or lose its form. Once the shoes are dry, go over them lightly with a suede brush as in step 1.

4. Remove oil or "unknown" stains. Use the suede brush to scrub the stain as you would for a scuff. Use the nail brush to scrub stubborn stains with warm water. Grease stains can be particularly difficult to remove from suede, so badly stained shoes may never look good again.

5. Protect your suede. Spray a coat of suede protector spray on your shoes when you first get them and after each cleaning. Follow the manufacturer's directions, and make sure to remove excess dirt before spraying the shoes.

For all the sneaker obsessed people out there, here is something that may wake your senses a little. This is obviously something you cannot wear, but I'm sure the concept of it excites and intrigues your sneaker souls. Nike SB Zoom Tre A.D - Air McFly Inspired

"This Is So Going In My Blog,"

With the Air McFly Hyperdunk selling out, you know Nike just had to try to repeat the same success they had with another model right? This time around, it comes in the form of the Nike SB Zoom Tre A.D. The clorway is definitely inspired from Marty McFly's "Air Mag" in Back To The Future II. The shoe features blue speckles just like the Air Mags, but the best feature on these has got to be the glow in the dark swoosh at the back! If we're stepping into the future, we need something to glow to light the way! rumored relesase date is Holidays 2008.

I would definitely shell out good cash for these! I loved Marty's Nikes in Back To The Future II, and I'll take anything that'll take me closer to em! These look clean, and it definitely suits my style! I would recommend this for those Back To The Future fans out there! C'mon, you know these are sweet, admit it! Hehehe!

Nike Dunk High Premium: Back To School Edition

"This Is So Going In My Blog,"

Nike is yet again releasing their "Back to School" packs this year. Last year, they released a "Back to School" pack that consisted of a Notebook Dunk, Crayola Vandal, and Elmer's Glue Air Max 90. This year, they're only releasing one shoe in the "Back to School" editions. This Dunk High features an all over canvas with crayola scribbles all over the shoe including the insole.

Now I'm not as addicted to Dunk's as I once was, but I would definitely buy these ones! It ain;t something I would wear out on a daily basis, but I'd definitely buy em just to have em in my colection. As much as I hate the fact that Dunk's are all over the place now, Dunk's still have a special place in my heart! Hahaha! And I like pairs that you normally wouldn't find in your local Nike store. And these just look so damn loud, that they're actually attractive to me!

These are available now at: Mita-Sneakers Website
