Sneaker Freakers!!

So I thought I'd talk a little more about my Japan trip tonight! So here goes......

When we think of the Japanese, we immediately think of two things. 1. Tech. The Japs love their tech. 2. Sneakers. The Japanese folks are the definition of Sneaker Freakers in its purest form. During my trip there, I visited a couple of sneaker shops, and man were these stores off the chain!! They carried products that are highly limited, sneakers I thought I'd never cross paths with. Sneakers like the Nike SB Heinekken Editions, The Venoms, The Lobsters, The Ninja Turtles, and many many more! They also carried The Supreme and Undefeated editions of Vans. I could go on and on about these sneakers, but I won't. I was able to take some spy shots of a few of the sneakers, so let's just let the pictures do the talking!

And you guys know I couldn't leave without picking up a few pairs....

During my trip there, I learned that not only do the Japanese know the way of the samurai, but damn do these guys got swag! Sneakers played a crucial role in their fits. Throw on a clean top, add a pair of straight legs, then finish it off with some killer sneakers!! Yup, the Japanese have definitely taught me a thing or two!!

Fugu: Poisonous Blowfish From Japan

Fugu is a Japanese delicasse that most fear to taste. If you're wondering why I used the word "fear", i's not because of its taste or anything like that. It's just because they're poisonous! Hahaha! Fugu is actually a blowfish that carry poison inside their organs. Licensed chefs however have learned ways to excrete the poison from the fish therefore allowing people to eat it.

While I was in Japan, we ate at this one restaurant that only served Fugu. You could however order it in different variations. We ate it as a sashimi, we had it fried, and we had it in hot pot. In fact, when it was served to us for the hot pot, the fish was so fresh that it was actually still moving when it got to our table! Just look at the vid below!

Yes, I did eat this by the way. Was I fearful for my life? Yes. But hey, I was in Japan! I wasn't about to leave without trying it out! Hehehehe!

Anyways, the entire experience was great! Thought I'd share this with you guys since I thought that it was actually pretty cool, and that we didn't really have it here in Manila. I'll be posting some more cool stuff I saw during my visit there, so until then.....

HILARIOUS!

A Japanese TV show played a prank on patron skiers at one of Japan's ski resorts. The prank involved creating a fake Spa and Massage Parlor on the mountain. Once skiers enter they get ready for a nice relaxing time, wrapped in only a hand towel, and SURPRISE! Hey Mikko T. this is what happens when you try making skiing sexier. haha Nah your post reminded me of this video though! Check it out...

New Pepsi Flavor.

About a week or so ago Mikko T. posted about the new pepsi logo soon to be released. Well this is a bit of a strange addition to that, something straight out of Dr. Frankinstein's lab. WHITE PEPSI! Weird right. Its yoghurt flavored believe it or not. I don't really understand it, I mean yoghurt soda doesn't make my mouth water at all. However, it may float your boat. Apparently the Japanese like it.
