Fringe

"This Is So Going In My Blog,"

Fringe is a sicience fiction TV series co-created by J.J Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Robert Orci. It premiered on September 9th, 2008 on FOX. It stars John Noble (24) as Walter Bishop, Joshua Jackson (Dawson's Creek) as Peter Bishop, and newcomer, Anna Torv as FBI Agent, Olivia Dunham. The 2-hour series premiere cost about $10 million to make, makiing it the most expensive pilot ever shot.

The show revolves around FBI Agent, Olivia Dunham, Walter Bishop, and Peter Bishop as they go around the world to investigate the aspects of fringe science (e.g., a newborn baby aging to 80 in a matter of minutes). A series of experiments all over the world have been occurring which people refer to as "The Pattern." The reasons for this are still unknown. Connected to "The Pattern" is a company called, Massive Dynamic, a company who holds numerous patents for a large number of new technology. Dunham, and both Bishops are in charge of investigating these strange events, and to determine the source of "The Pattern."

Fringe Trailer:

This show has definitely been gaining a lot of buzz since its release, with more and more audiences tuning in every week. Could it be because of the "J.J Abrams" factor? I think so. This guys is awesome when it comes to awesome story-telling. Fringe has garnered positive reviews from critics, with some calling it, "an update of X-Files, with the addition of terrorism and the office of Homeland security."

When this show was first announced, I was definitely very curious about it. Maybe cuz of the fact that I'm a huge Lost fan. J.J Abrams has given us one of the biggest shows in history, and I wanted to see if he could do it a second time. The show definiftely had an X-Files vibe to it, and they manage to keep the 2 hour premiere interesting. I'm excited to see where they take it from here.
