Reebok ERS 5000 Maeda Reduce

John Maeda, a collaborator with Reebok since back in 2007 introduces his shoe, based on his own law of simplicity which states, "the simplest way to achieve simplicity is through thoughtful reduction." And he does just that with these kicks. Simple and back to basics, but with a silver finish.

New running shoes anyone? Hmm... jogging in these would be pretty kickass! I might have to get myself a pair in HK if they still have them come August.

Ahh, sweet new Vans! These Eric Elms Vans give you the best of all worlds, with an all suede version, an all canvas, and a suede/canvas versions. And as well all know now, Vans have always seemed to have a timeless design, so cop these here for only $75. I'll take the black ones in size 11 please!

Retro Jordan XI's coming our way?!

Arguably the most sought after Air Jordan of all time, the Jordan XI (Space Jam's) will once again hit the shelves this year... if the stocks even reach there that is! Why you ask? First, the Space Jam's will be released in limited quantities and 2nd, for those who know their kicks, people who have connections usually buy out all the stocks before some of us even get a glance, then sell it for higher... MUCH HIGER prices on the grey market. So if you want these, use all the contacts you can! They're said to be dropping this November 27th for around $175. Who knows if they'll reach our shores though.

And another Jordan XI news snippet, (you can see these are my fav pairs of AJ's) it seems like Chris Paul, CP3, took a trip to Nike headquarters and got a scoop of these... White on white Jordan XI's rumored to be the 25th anniversary version. Wait, there's more! It's not only these that are getting the white on white treatment, but from these XI's - XIV's! Now the question is, are these just samples or will they actually be released? Maybe new Jordan packs for next year? All we can do now is wait and hope we have the chance to cop these sweet kicks!

Nike Air 1/2 Cent

I was a HUGE Penny Hardaway fan! He's one of my favorite NBA players and his shoes were some of the best Nike ever released. I dont know if you guys remember those famous Foamposites... they were the most expensive Nike shoe ever made when it came out, retailing at $180 US dollars back in '98. Sure thats not that much nowadays, but back then when shoes were $150 max, it was crazy expensive! I was one of the first to rock em in the Philippines and I still have them now! Sure they had mixed reviews cuz of its controversial, outta the box design, but it will always be remembered one of the pairs that broke the mold, and they still remain my favorite Nike design today!

With all the "fusions" Nike is releasing, (fusion Air Force Jordans & other Jordan Fusions) these Penny's show how they SHOULD be done! You can see clearly that it incorporates the Foamposites up to the Penny IV's, without making it look awkward or a puzzle gone wrong.

The Nike Air 1/2 Cent will debut in March 2009 at a hefty price of $190. But that's not all bad considering the Foamposite 1 Retro retails for $200. These will be available at select urban accounts and a limited release as well. Hopefully they reach our shores but even though they don't, for a fan like me, its really a nice tribute to one of the SICKEST Nike Line's made!

Nike SB Dunk Low - The Joker

Its shaping up to be The Batman's year. The Dark Knight was a huge hit, breaking several movie records. A game based on it is also reportedly well in the works, with Lego Batman on its way too, along with another game due out August of '09 titled, Batman: Arkham Asylum. And now, Nike Skateboarding is releasing a shoe based on the Joker's color motif. Reportedly due out this Spring, this pair utilizes different color combos and materials, which seems to be SB's next trend.

As for the composition, the toe box and heel are made up of a green canvas and the side panels are seen in a flannel pattern consisting of black and purple. Everything is tied together with a white swoosh and as well as an extra set of red laces. SWEET!

This looks like some
thing thats gonna be hard to pull off, but if you can rock it, why the hell not?! It definitely stands out, and for Batman fans, maybe you wont even need to be able to pull it off, you'd just want to have it for keeps! I mean, this is another thing I wouldn't mind having haha!

SB SNEAKS!

Definitely a fresh catch! The Nike SB Lobster Dunk Lows. I know I'm a lil late with these, actually, a lot late, but they really do catch my eye. They were a limited release but you can still cop em from resellers or specialty stores both in the PI and in the States. In one of the most comprehensive packaging executions in recent memory, a large number of relevant accessories were included which worked out perfectly with the Rob Heppler designed Lobster motif. A look here reveals the special box set gifted to the first 50 buyers. Inside you'll find a lobster shell cracker, a fork, a bib, an extra set of butter yellow laces, keychain, wet naps and shirts. With the set instantly sold out, your only option lies through 3rd party mediums.

COP 'EM LOCALLY!

The Lobsters was just 1 pair i wanted to talk about, but mainly to let u sneaker-heads know that there are ways to find rare SB's, or just SB's in general, here in the Philippines. Though i havent heard of anyone who has an official SB account, there are quite a few resellers if you know where to look. And whats good about them is that u can find some which are, like this hopeful magazine, out to just spread the word rather than making a huge profit off the bat. Locally, you can check out our partner site, Filthy Grommet, and message them for some kicks they have at their store. As well as some multiply sites like http://gadgetboyoy.multiply.com, which sells a buncha SB's, (Donatellos, New Castles, Gibsons, Avengers & more) and some can even be ordered if they dont have your size. You can also check out Niketalk under the Philippine regional forum for local Nike Park & Stadium updates, or just contact us and we might be able to hook you guys up!

We'll definitely keep you posted with more kicks! Lets spread the word and the love!

If you guys have any other sources of SB's or any of those kicks that are hard to find in the PI, let us know as well through Comments or in our Discussion Room.
