Metallo Comes To Smallville!

It seems that another of Superman's famous villain is coming to The CW's Smallville. According to our sources, 90210 alum, Brian Austin Green has been cast for the role of Metallo, and will appear in at least the first two episodes of season 9.

In other news, no word yet has been released about the return of Sam Witwer (Doomsday). Fans are very curious to see what the producers do with the whole Zod arc. Stay tuned for updates.

I think that the introduction of Metallo is awesome. I mean Clark is at the Daily Planet, he's developed an alter ego, now he needs villains to throw down with. Metallo has always been an interesting villain to me since he's powered by kryptonite. Let's see where the producers decide to go with the character. I hope they develop a longer arc for him.

Melrose Place 2.0 Promo!

In vein of the recent relaunch of the 90210 franchise, The CW has also decided to relaunch 90210's sister series, Melrose Place. And like 90210, the show will continue from the previous series, featuring old characters, and new characters with ties to the old ones. 

Laura Leighton, who played Sydney Andrews in the old show will return as a recurring character, as well as Thomas Clabro, who played Michael Mancini. Talks of bringing back Heather Locklear surfaced during production but Locklear opted not to return. 

The premise of the show has been kept very top secret, but the show will follow the original formula and chronicle a group of twentysomethings dwelling in Los Angeles' trendy Melrose neighborhood.

Smallville producers, Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin will be the show-runners.

Well I was definitely a fan of the original show and I'm definitely interested to see what they do with the series. But if this is gonna be anything like the new 90210 series, then you can count me the fuck out! The new 90210 is good I guess, but it isn't anything like the original. It's basically just another teen soap with a 90210 title! 

And another thing, what's up with bringing back all these old shows/movies? Are Hollywood's writers really out of ideas? These reboots and remakes are gonna get old really fast, and I think viewers will stop tuning in as soon as that happens.

Episode Description

IT’S FREAKY FRIDAY FOR CHLOE AND LOIS WHEN DC CHARACTER ZATANNA APPEARS — At Chloe’s (Allison Mack) birthday party, a mysterious magician named Zatanna (guest star Serinda Swan) grants Chloe’s wish to be more like Lois (Erica Durance) and switches the two into each other’s bodies. Zatanna searches for her father’s book of spells so she can conjure up his spirit but not before also granting Clark (Tom Welling) his deepest wish.

Episode 17: "Hex"

I was definitely excited for this episode. Sure, it was clearly another filler, but this episode marked the first appearance of DC character, Zatanna in the Smallville universe. I definitely enjoy seeing Smallville's twists to these characters, and Zatanna was no exception. The writers are definitely able to make them work, while still staying true to the character's original back story. Another thing I enjoyed about this episode was the whole "granting of wishes" arc, cuz it definitely gave the cast members more depth. This episode is definitely a must-have. The last scene in this episode will blow every fanboy's mind, I guarantee it!!

Episode Description

TESS SETS A TRAP FOR CLARK — Tess (Cassidy Freeman) invites Clark (Tom Welling) to a press conference in New York but when an explosion rocks the private jet they are on, Clark must figure out how to save them without Tess learning his secret. Unbeknownst to Clark, Tess orchestrated the explosion to get Clark to reveal his powers. Meanwhile, Davis (Sam Witwer) discovers a surprising way to control the monster within.

Episode Description

TORI SPELLING RETURNS AS LINDA LAKE — Linda Lake (guest star Spelling) returns to Metropolis and threatens to expose Clark's (Tom Welling) secret unless he promises to give her exclusive information on the red-blue blur so she can become a star reporter again. Refusing to be blackmailed, Clark tells Lois (Erica Durance) his secret and asks her to write his story for The Daily Planet.

Episode 15: "Infamous"

This episode was definitely much awaited since it marked the return of Tori Spelling's character, Linda Lake, as well as Erica Durance's Lois Lane. Lake who discovered Clark's season in the previous season returns to stir up more shit for the young Clark Kent. This episode definitely did not let down. I mean, it was yet another time travel episode, it was definitely a lot of fun to watch. I especially loved the scenes with Lois and Clark. Absence definitely made the heart grow fonder in the case of Lois for me. Anyways, check it out for yourselves.

"The Graysons" Coming To The CW

"This Is So Going In My Blog,"

With Smallville nearing its end, The CW is currently looking for new prospects to fill the "superhero" void. One project that we might be seeing fly into our TV sets is, The Graysons. For all you comic book fans out there, I'm sure you guys already know what I'm talking about.

Smallville producers, Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson are currently working with director/producer McG to develop a show about Batman's sidekick, Robin. Yup, you guys heard right. This show will see Robin in the lead role. Not Batman, ROBIN!

Just like Smallville telling the story of Clark Kent's teenage life before becoming Superman, The Graysons will revolve around DJ Grayson's years before pairing up with caped crusader, Batman and becoming the iconic, Robin. Yeah, I said iconic.

While this show can potentially be the replacement for Smallville, it could also work as a companion piece if Smallville were to go for another season.

The Graysons will be a one hour show, and will talk about DJ Grayson's first loves, early rivals, and his family as he grows up. Souders and Peterson have already stated that they have come up with an original take on the character.

I don't really know what to say about this. I mean it's Robin. Who makes a show about Robin? If The CW was looking for another superhero show to replace Smallville, they definitely should've aimed higher. You can't replace a Superman show with a Robin show. I say, use The Flash or revive the Aquaman pilot that was put to rest a couple of years ago! But that's just my opinion.
