Smallville Returns For One More Season
The long awaited question of whether or not Smallville star, Tom Welling would return for a ninth season has been answered!
The CW has announced their early pickups for next season. This includes, shows like, 90210, Supernatural, America's Next Top Model, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, and of course, Smallville.
In the case of Smallville, TV Week's Joseph Adalian was quoted saying this:
"In the case of “Smallville,” producer Warner Bros. Television had been negotiating with series star Tom Welling to return. The CW’s renewal indicates the studio was successful in those conversations."
This is definitely good news for the loyal Smallville fans out there!! I mean, season 8 has just been phenomenal, story-wise, and ratings-wise. I was very hesitant about an eighth season despite me being a huge Smallville fan, but I gotta say, the new producers was really able to pull it off. Now, the question on my mind is this, who will the next villain be? Will they keep Doomsday around? Will they keep Tess? And will Clark finally be able to fly by next season? I'm very excited to see how all this plays out. Season 9, here we come!!
