The Spirit: Will You Go See It?

"This Is So Going In My Blog,"

The Spirit is an American film adaptation of the newspaper strip of the same name created by Will Eisner. Fank Miller writes and directs the upcoming film with Lionsgate, Batfilm, and Oddlot set to produce. It stars Gabriel Macht (The Recruit) as The Spirit, Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) as his nemesis, The Octopus, and Eva Mendez (Hitch) as Sand Saref. The film is set to be released on Christmas Day 2008.

The film will not be an origin story, instead, it will begin with the adventures of The Spirit having already begun. The protagonist will be involved in a love traingle with Sand Saref, and Ellan dolan, the daughter of Central City's police commisioner. The controversial character, Ebony White will also be seen in the film.

Trailer:

I have actually never heard of The Spirit so i actually don't know what to expect. The only thing that gets me excited about this film is Frank Miller and the trailer itself. Writer/Director, Frank Miller has produced visually captivating hits ike 300 and Sin City. The Spirit looks no different. This film looks like it's gonna have fx similar to Miller's previous films. It will be interesting to see how Frank Miller will interpret this comic book character. I've got my p170.. ready and waiting for this.

What about you? Will you watch it? Comment!
