Devastator Confirmed for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?!?!
TFW2005 is reporting that they have a trusted source that has confirmed that the G1 combiner Devastator will be in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen! The confirmation includes the following details:
- Seven construction vehicles merge to form Devastator
- Devastator has lots of upper body strength, like a gorilla
- Not just green, some of the vehicles are red and yellow
- The previously Long Haul concept art by Josh Nizzi is legit

The information came from a source whose previous information has been accurate. Possibly from Holloman Air Force Base where Transformers 2 production is right now? For those who dont know who Devastator is, check out Teletraan I. He's one of the many cool combiners in the Transformers Universe. I just cant imagine how FREAKING cool it would be to see him on screen!

I can go on and on about the Transformers and how ecstatic I am that he COULD be in it. I say that he "could" cuz there of course, are some doubts. Michael Bay (the director) did say that he was going to leak false information so that no one will know the exact plot til they watch it. Another doubt is that, how does he even tie into the movie? One of the plot lines for Revenge of the Fallen is well.... The Fallen as the main villain, and that it would really explore the mythologies of the Transformers, how they came to be, their past, where they originated. So how would bringing this huge combiner in tie in with that?

Another doubt would be regarding Hasbro (the company that makes the transformers toys), making the toys. First, they would be expensive to make separate figures and allow them to combine and at the same time, it would be extremely difficult to make them accurate and have little kids playing with it. It would also be expensive if one combiner is $15, making 7 over $100. Its all about the money nowadays so we'll see.
News on Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen has been scarce and Bay has taken a lot of precautions to prevent leaks like what happened in the first film. It was even said that they arent going to release pictures of the robots like they did before, making you really wait til the movie comes out. So unless Bay or his writers themselves confirm that Devastator is in the film, I will have my doubts. But still, its damn exciting news for a Transformers fan like me!
