REVIEW: PINEAPPLE EXPRESS

Add about seven years to the ages of the kids in Superbad, toss in bullets, bongs and assassination squads, and you get some idea of the hot box of crazy that is Pineapple Express, a buddy movie stoned on its own shitfaced silliness. You'll go limp from laughing as process server Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) buys the wacky weed of the title from pot dealer Saul Silver (James Franco). "Smell it, smellll it," raves Saul, his eyes glazed with mellow joy. "It's like God's vagina." Pineapple Express is loaded with turbocharged action and nonstop giggles, Pineapple Express is what Saul might call "the apex of the vortex" of comedy joint engineering. It's up there with The Big Lebowski, Dazed and Confused and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, only a lot gorier. Bound to flabbergast anyone who just says no — expect howls of protest over the scene where Saul and Dale sell pot in a schoolyard — the movie has been rated R for "pervasive language, drug use, sexual references and violence." Got that, kids? You can't see it till you grow up. As Red comments philosophically while cocking his gun for a shootout, "Thug life." - Peter Travers

Bottom Line:

If you haven't seen this movie you most definitely need to. This is not a movie you should miss, spend the money to watch it on the big screen cause its worth every penny! The review posted above has the same vibe of all the other reviews for the flick, GREATNESS. This movie had me laughing from start to finish and thats no exaggeration, truth. The ratings have been 4-5 stars, i give it a 5. Trust me.. Go see PINEAPPLE EXPRESS!

Seth Rogen Talks About The Green Hornet

As some of you may not have known, Pineapple Express star, Seth Rogen has been cast as The Green Hornet in the upcoming film of the same name. He has gotten into shape, and is ready top start filming this year!!

According to Seth Rogen, their tentative date to start filming is the end of June. When asked about Kung Fu Hustle star, Stpehen Chow's involvement, Rogen says, "He's kind of our mascot. (laughs) He may be Kato. I'm not 100% sure if that's the case, but it's a very likely possibility. I'm not sure. Honestly, we're kind of in the very early phases right now. We're just putting those elements in place so I'm being honest. I honestly don't know yet. "

Rogen also says that they were inspired by the original, but feel no obligations to staying true to it since the radio show and TV show were both different from each other, and both were different from the comic books. He was quoted saying, " We kind of took what we thought was good and left what we didn't."

I'm still a little skeptical about this film since I'm not sure if Seth Rogen could carry such a film, or could even pull off being The Green Hornet. I mean, I know that Rogen's in demand nowadays, but we're talking about a comic book film, not an R-rated comedy. BUT, Stephen Chow's involvement is very interesting, and I actually thought that he'd be perfect for Kato. I guess we'll all have to wait til they release more details or a teaser at least.

Pineapple Express

Seth Rogan is back in action! And this time he recruited James Franco to make what looks like will be one of the big blockbusters of the summer.

Movie Synopsis:

Critically acclaimed director David Gordon Green takes a break from the brooding drama that defined such early efforts as George Washington and Undertow for this action-flavored buddy comedy concerning two pot-smoking friends (Seth Rogen and James Franco) who unwittingly become involved with a vicious gang of drug dealers. If you want to be out of the loop then don't watch this. This movie will make your gut hurt from laughter and if it doesn't then there's something wrong with you. There's nothing more to say.
