G.I. Joe Domestic Trailer
I gotta say, I was a little hesitant when I first heard this movie was being made, and the first trailer didn't make me feel any different. But this trailer looks awesome!! It looks like this movie's gonna be lots of fun, and I especially love what they've done with Snake Eyes. He's always been my favorite, and it looks to me that they've done justice to his character.
What do you think? Comment!!

Toy Fair 2009!!

As some of you may not know, the annual Toy Fair has already began in New York City. The scheduled dates ran from Feb. 15th to Feb. 18th.
Some of the action figures that were displayed were very beautiful and exquisite. A toy collector's dream if you ask me. Some of the figures that made appearances were a few of the DC characters, some Street Fighter characters, Terminator characters, and of course, The Watchmen had to make their appearance.
Take a look at the pictures below:

G.I Joe Teaser!
Today, you're not getting one, but TWO great trailers for TWO of the most highly anticipated movies of 2009! I dont know if I'm just being bias, or it really just doesnt look THAT great, but the G.I Joe teaser well... doesnt look that great, especially next to Transformers. I'm also still a lil sketchy on the casting, like the scene in the teaser where the G.I Joes are all walking together... looks like a cast out of a comedy rather than a group of highly trained secret military specialists. Screams CORNY to me. But I'm sure fanboys will rejoice as finally, footage has been shown.
Don't get me wrong, I do dig G.I Joe, ever since I was a kid, so as much as I have a feeling this movie won't do well, I'm still rooting for it. I do wish that in the full length trailer, we'll finally get a glimpse of what Cobra Commander's chosen appearnce will be. A mask? A helmet? Good ol' chrome dome? Or something totally new? Only time will tell.
Give the teaser a download HERE in 720p goodness.
A few things I picked up from the teaser...
-Baroness looks HOTT!!!
-Destro suprisingly looks alright, even without his mask. (and he's the dude from Heroes)
-Will we see a lotta Urban Ninja kinda stuff?! I hope so!
-None of the Joes, for me, really look their part aside from Snake Eyes, which is a obvious.
-Flint and Destro talk it out? Interesting. Could Destross be part of the Gov't before? He really pulls off the Bad-ass, im going to destroy the world, vibe.
-Snake Eyes vs. Storm Shadow? sweet! Though if you look closely SE's mask, the mouth is on the mask... was it like that beforE?
-Storm Shadow weilding dual katana's.
-Nice touch with the G.I Joe and Cobra bases.. just like the cartoons. They also show a lot of their artilery which was also a big part of what made G.I Joe, G.I. Joe.

G.I. Joe Character Posters

I'm sure most of you have already heard or read here on VANTAGE that Paramout pictures will be releasing G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra this summer. It'll star Channing Tatum (Step Up) as Duke, Rachel Nichols (P2) as Scarlett, Dennis Quaid (Frequency) as General Hawk, and Ray Park (Star Wars: Episode I) as Snake Eyes. The film will be directed by Stephen Sommers (TheMummy).
What I find odd about this film is the total lack of marketing for it. Now I'm not sure if that's what the director and studio really have in mind, but I just feel that a teaser trailer should at least be released. We have however gotten a hold of promo shots and posters. But it's not like my inner-fanboy is jumping for joy over these. Hehehe!
Today we give you even more posters! The studio has released character posters for Duke, Ripcord, The Baroness, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow. Check out the posters below!
Duke (Channing Tatum)

Ripcord (Marlon Wayans)

The Baroness (Sienna Miller)

Scarlett (Rachel Nichols)

Snake Eyes (Ray Park)

Storm Shadow (Byung Hun Lee)

Thunder Cats Movie Trailer!!!
The Thunder Cats movie is finally upon us. Lions... cats... or whatever, on the big screen!
NOT!!!
For those who already didn't know, this is a fan-made trailer, but I must admit, its a pretty good one at that! Brad Pitt is awesome and Vin Diesel looks like a pussy. Excuse thy pun. I was never a real big fan of Thunder Cats cuz for me, it just wasn't as good as the other shows during its time. Voltron, Voltes V, He-Man, Visionaries, Transformers, Jem... I mean... umm... G.I. Joe.

G.I. Joe Movie Tie-Ins
Saw this around the net and I just thought it was cool. Seems like G.I. Joe is doing the same thing as what Transformers did for their first movie as well as the upcoming sequel, which is making a comic book series that ties into the movie. Is this going to be the new style of marketing campaign or just a coincidence? Either way, its all good with me.
Looks like we'll see Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow battle it out! Hopefully we see some ninja action in the movie!
