Batman: Arkham Asylum Trailer Debuts!
Batman: Arkham Asylum is an upcoming video game based on the long-running comic book mythos! As opposed to other Batman video games which are adaptations of the character in other media besides the source material.
The game will be developed for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It is published by Eidos Interactive in conjunction with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics.
The gameplay is said to be reminiscent of Bioshsock, with all of its depth and twists. Also, throughout the game, it is played in an over-the-shoulder third person perspective, similar to that of Resident Evil 4. Arkham Asylum was chosen as the setting of the game for its isolation, since Arkham is actually located on an island. Batman will be able to roam around the island, and even have his own on-site Batcave.
Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill both reprise their roles as Batman and The Joker for the game. Both voiced these characters in Batman: The Animated Series. You will also be running into some other familiar faces like, Commissioner Gordon, Barbara Gordon, The Riddler, Killer Croc, Bane, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, and many more!
