Eminem Talks About "Relapse"

For those who haven't heard, Eminem has been back in the lab, hard at work at planning his big comeback for 2009 with his new album, "Relapse." The album is set to be released around Spring 09, and is said to be a throwback to the good ol' days with legendary producer Dr. Dre.

Eminem recently sent an e-mail to Billboard, and spoke a little about the new album.

Here are some highlights:

"Me and Dre are back in the lab like the old days, man." "Just him banging away on tracks and me getting that little spark that makes me write to it. I don't have chemistry like that with anyone else as far as producers go — not even close. Dre will end up producing the majority of the tracks on Relapse. We are up to our old mischievous ways. ... Let's just leave it at that."

He also spoke about the leaked tracks that have recently surfaced online:

"It wasn't close to finished, and it even has me doing guide vocals for Dre as a suggestion of how he could lay his verses down." It's like someone catches you peeping in your window before you got the Spider Man costume all zipped up! Nobody is supposed to see that. We are gonna finish it up, though, and get it out there how it's supposed to be."

Eminem also denies the reports about a "Stan Part2," which producer Swizz Beatz claimed was going to happen.

Now I don't know if you guys feel the same as I do about this "big" comeback, but I'm personally a little unsure that he can pull this off. I mean, he was good during his glory days but a lot has changed in hip-hop. But hey, I might be wrong. Eminem was a lyrical genius, and with Dre by his side,I'd say he's definitely got the right ammo for this gunfight.
