**UPDATE**

The suspect in the murder of American Idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother have been taken into custody for further investigation.

The suspect is named William Balfour. Balfour is Julian's step-father, and is considered armed and dangerous.

According to sources, Balfour stole Hudson's white Chevrolet SuburbanTruck on Friday.

he is currently under parole after serving six and a half years for attempted murder. He also has a conviction for posession of a stolen car.

He was taken into custody on late Friday.

Balfour is not co-operating with the authorities, and has not revealed the whereabouts of Julian.
