Sneakers: Wear it or Forget It?
In this edition of our Wear it or Forget it segment, I felt that we should focus on one of the greatest inventions of the world, the Sneaker. Considering that the sneaker phenomenon touches the world market and is considered a staple in our personal closets, it is enough reason for Vantage Magazine to touch up on this subject. Here is our line-up for today:
VANS "Drop Sneakers Not Bombs Collection"
I like this shoe. I'm leaning more on the brown rather than the black. The shoe uses high quality materials and the details are what catches my eye. Details such as the leather shoelaces, the design on the front of the sneaker, and the beads on those shoelaces are what attracts me to this shoe. Vantage says..WEAR IT!

Available this coming November!
Puma 2008 Holiday Disc Blaze Collection
No no no. A definite no for me. This was cool when this first came out, although the only cool thing about it is it had no shoelaces! This is a shoe made for running, and maybe it should stay that way. FORGET IT.
Price: 15,000 yen
Available at: Bingo Runner
Nike Air Magma/Lava Dome/Approach Mid
I am not a big fan of hiking boots, however I love how Nike constantly revives their collections using different colors and materials to put an edge to the model. Given the right outfit for these shoes, and if worn the right way, I would have to say, WEAR IT. If you can pull it off.
Price:Unknown
Available at: Mita on November 1st.
Common Projects
These are definitely one of my favorite sneaker brands this year. Common projects is the definition of simplicity. And although the prices of their shoes range from $300-$400, they use quality materials. The shoes are made in Milan and sub-contract through the same manufacturers of Well-known brands such as Lanvin, Margiela, and Raf Simons. A quality sneaker for the quality man. Without a doubt in my head, I would WEAR IT.
Price: $300
Available at: Common Projects
Marc Jacobs
I know this is not a sneaker, and Vantage Magazine is based in the Philippines, but the United States is about to make the biggest decision of their lives, and that decision will have a global effect on the world, even Marc Jacobs agrees. With that said, Lets make you make the decision.
WOULD YOU WEAR IT OR FORGET IT?
Price: $18
Available at: Marc Jacobs
