Apple Supports Gay Marriage...

"This Is So Going In My Blog,"

California has recently initiated a ballot named "Proposition 8." This proposition basically opposes gay marriage in California.

Now, Apple has decided to donate $100,000 to the group, "No On Propostion 8." They have joined Google in supporting this group.

Google also has its history for supporting the marriage of same-sex couples.

"Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees' same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person's fundamental rights—including the right to marry—should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8."

Apple and Google are the only 2 companies from Silicon Valley to have shown their support for this cause. Yahoo is the only company from the Big 3 of Silicon Valley who hasn't shown support. And their reason for this is........?

I personally think more companies from Silicon Valley need to follow in Apple and Google's footsteps.

What do you think? Comment!
