My First UAAP Game!
Wasup my dear readers?! To put somethin for those sports lovers out there, I just came back from watching my first ever UAAP game. The first game was La Salle Vs. Adamson, and the main game was UE Vs. UST. First off, I'm not from any of those mentioned schools, (nor from any UAAP school haha!) but it was actually pretty exciting to watch live, especially the main event. I dont even watch local basketball on TV, but being there with the crowd all around you, it was a great atmosphere when the team ur rooting for is winning (me: La Salle & UE).

For a brief overview...
Everyone thought the first game was going to be a blowout by La Salle, but it was nothing of the sort. La Salle really struggled, probably due to the fact that no matter whether they won or lost this game, they're in the final four, and that Adamson wasn't, nor ever in recent years, a contender (sorry Adamson fans!). The game was close throughout with Adamson even leading in the final seconds. But with a foul, La Salle was able to tie the game with free throws, and with good D, Adamson couldn't get the game winner. OVERTIME. La Salle outclassed Adamson, the way they should have from the start. It was over.
The UE/UST game was intense! Crowds from both schools were really into it! I guess cuz it was also a win or go home situation for UST. If they lost, they would be outta contention. From the start to the end, fans were LOUD! There was even a blackout shortly after halftime! (thats the Phils for ya haha!) The lights all died, but the crowd just blew up! It intensified the game even further! They cheered even louder and I think it actually became a battle of the fans! What a timely blackout, one that actually brought much excitement to people. Back to the game... UST had an early lead but UE went on a run throughout the end of the 1st up to the 3rd quarter, UST had no answer. But UST eventually came back from a 20 point deficit, even leading in the closing seconds, but they came up short at the end, losing by 2.

My Impressions...
It was actually really fun to watch, even though I'm not from any of the schools! So you can imagine what its like if u are/were, which reminded me of my college basketball days, playing with a huge crowd behind you, WOW! Crowds were so loud that it was even hard to talk to the person sitting next to you! For basketball fans, or even just those who just have known people from those schools or have a preferred team for some odd reason... like me... I urge you to try and watch. For just P150-P250, you can already get great seats for regular games. Ateneo Vs. La Salle games can go up to P5000 a ticket. Being surrounded by fans, excuse my cliche, really brought the game to life! It was a nice experience. Next up, I wanna watch a Lakers game and an F1 race!
How bout you guys, have u guys watched? Anyone a fan? What were ur experiences like?

Congratulations on your first UAAP game! You should try watch an Ateneo-DLSU game. If you thought UE-UST was exciting, it's killer to watch the Eagles and Archers play.
